  • How many Paso Robles wineries should I visit in a day?

    There are numerous winery experiences to choose from on the Central Coast. Typically, we find that 3 Paso Robles winery visits per day works best.

  • How long does a typical winery visit last?

    One can expect a winery visit to last 60-90 minutes depending on the experience selected.

  • Should we have lunch along the way during our wine tour?

    Absolutely! There are many dining options while wine tasting and planning your day with our concierge team. We can schedule to have lunch on board while we move from place to place, or we can schedule the second stop of the day to be at a location that serves food. We are happy to recommend different options that will fit your needs!

  • Do I need an appointment to wine taste in Paso Robles Wine Country?

    Most wineries in Paso Robles Wine Country are requiring appointment to have an enjoyable wine tasting experience. If you’re having trouble making reservations, our concierge team can do their best to help before the day of the wine tour.

  • Are wine tasting fees included?

    No. Each winery visited will their own set wine tasting fee based upon which tasting experience you choose. Most tasting fees will be stated on the website of the winery you’re visiting so that you can calculate ahead of time.


    Most Paso Robles wineries will waive those tasting fees with purchase of a bottle of wine (or two) and/or wine club membership signup!

  • Can you help with itinerary planning for Paso Robles wine tours?

    Absolutely! There are a few questions that we ask to ensure that we are choosing wineries that are best suited for your group for the most ideal Paso Robles wine tasting itinerary.

    • What are some of your favorite varietals of wine?
    • Do you like smaller, more intimate experiences?
    • Are you here for the views?
    • Do you want something other than just wine tasting?
  • How can I cater to those in our group who don’t like wine?

    There are wineries who offer other thing than just wine. The Central Coast is also home to the Paso Robles Distillery Trail.

  • Will we be ok to drive at the end of our tour?

    For this reason, we recommend picking up and stating the day from your hotel or air BnB. If you traveled in to meet us, this will be something addressed by our driver before start our day. After a full day of wine tasting it is likely that you will not be able to drive safely.

  • Will beverages and snacks be provided?

    Yes, bottled water will be provided for you throughout the day. Inside the Sprinter Van there is a mini fridge that you may put drinks in as well.

  • Will there be any additional fees booking?

    No taxes or additional fees! When you book your wine tour, you will pay the minimum of a 5 hour service (for tours) with 15% gratuity. If your group would like to extend service past the 5 hours, that is no problem at all.

  • Is Central Coast Transportation kid friendly?

    Yes, children of all ages are welcomed on tour. Please note, drinking alcohol is not permitted for those under the age of 21.


    Central Coast Transportation does NOT provide car seats or booster seats. Please follow California law for children under the age of 8 years old or shorter than 4’9” and the requirement of booster seats.

  • Are your Paso Robles wine tours dog friendly?

    We love dogs! And most Paso Robles wineries allow dogs if they have an outdoor seating area. Please double check with the wineries you have reserved to make sure they allow dogs. Dogs may not stay in the vehicle while you wine taste. This accommodation needs to be agreed upon before the tour.   • Is Central Coast Transportation fully licensed and insured?

    Yes, we are registered and licensed by the State of California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The CPUC requires insurance and vehicle inspections as a condition of licensing.
